The entire face and neck is examined to assess the quality of the skin, the underlying tissues, and the facial bone structure.  The contribution of each of these factors to the facial appearance is important, and must be an integral part of the surgical planning.  This speaks to the highly individualized nature of these procedures.

The best candidates for a face and neck lift are women and men who are in good health, desiring a more rested look and youthful appearance.  A face and neck lift can achieve that.  The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, and typically takes five to six hours.  Dr. Wilensky performs the face and neck lift in his office-based surgical facility.  The majority of patients are able to have this procedure as outpatients, and can return home the same day.
