• BROWLIFT
A forehead (brow) lift is a surgical procedure for women and men whose purpose is to improve the appearance and position of the area above the eyes. Over time, lines and furrows in the forehead can produce an angry look, as well as producing the drooping responsible for a tired or sad look. As our faces age, there is hooding over the eyes as well. This is a natural occurrence that is addressed by the brow lift procedure. The reversal of these changes is the purpose of this surgery, and the result is a more youthful appearance.
Dr. Wilensky’s goal during brow lift surgery is to improve the forehead, resulting in a more relaxed and refreshed appearance. He employs a minimally invasive technique to perform this procedure. The endoscope, a surgical camera, is utilized. This equipment permits a refined technique that allows for fewer and shorter incisions. This method optimizes the ability to achieve a lasting result.
During his consultation with you, Dr. Wilensky will discuss your goals and the results you would like to achieve. He will determine if a brow lift is an appropriate procedure for you. The entire face is examined to assess the quality of the skin, the underlying tissues, and the bone structure. Specifically, the position of the eyebrows and any existing creases, frown lines, or furrows will be evaluated. The upper eyelid region will also be addressed because a drooping brow can contribute to the appearance of that area as well.
The best candidates for brow lift are women and men who are in good health, and desire a more rested look in the forehead area. Brow lift is capable of achieving that. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia, and typically takes about three hours. Dr. Wilensky performs the brow lift in his office-based surgical facility. The majority of patients are able to have this procedure as outpatients, and can return home the same day.
